DAAD Scholarships ( German National Agency ) : Development-Related Postgraduate Courses

The German Academic Exchange Service or DAAD (German: Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) is the largest German support organisation in the field of international academic co-operation.

DAAD is a private, federally funded and state-funded, self-governing national agency of the institutions of higher education in Germany, representing 365 German higher education institutions (100 universities and technical universities, 162 general universities of applied sciences, and 52 colleges of music and art).

Postgraduate courses for professionals from developing countries at German institutions of Higher education
Duration: 12-24 months, depending on the particular institution
Internationally recognised Master's degree
Includes German Universities and “Fachhochschulen” (Universities of Applied Science)
Support of selected programmes with a variety of full or partial scholarships
Funded by the BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) but admission is also open to self-financed participants or students financed through government or other sources
