Queen Mary University of London (officially abbreviated QMUL, informally known as QM) is a public research university located in London, United Kingdom, and a constituent college of the federal University of London.


Queen Mary is one of the UK's top universities, ranked 11th nationally out of 132 universities in the latest research assessment exercise. Besides good teaching and research, it is one of the best universities for student employability and graduate starting salaries.

Queen Mary has around 3,000 staff, who teach and research across a wide range of subjects in the Humanities, Social Sciences and Laws, Medicine and Dentistry and Science and Engineering. Almost 17,000 students study at the 21 academic schools and institutes, with just over 30 percent coming from overseas and represent 130 different countries. Queen Mary awarded over £2 million in studentships to prospective postgraduate students for the 2011/12 academic year

Fees
£9,000 for full-time undergraduates in 2014-15.

Bursaries
A £1,500 bursary for students with assessed household incomes of less than £25,000, and a £1,200 bursary for those with assessed household incomes of between £25,000 and £42,600.
