Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU)

Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (Chinese: 西交利物浦大学, Pinyin: Xī’ān Jiāotōng Lìwùpǔ Dàxúe, short: XJTLU) is a young, independent university based in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China. Founded in 2006 and resulting from a partnership between the University of Liverpool and Xi’an Jiaotong University, it is the first Sino-British university between research led universities, exploring new educational models for China. It is a science and engineering university with a second focus in English, recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education as a "not for profit" educational institution. Students are rewarded with a University of Liverpool degree as well as a degree from XJTLU. The teaching language is English.

Scholarships

XJTLU has a range of scholarships and awards on offer to international students at undergraduate level for 2015/16 entry.

1. Entry Scholarship

The University offers an entry scholarship of RMB40,000 (approx. USD6,550) per year for international undergraduate students of the 2014/15 intake.
Notes:

1) In applying for the Entry Scholarship, you are required to submit a Scholarship Application Form. Please read the Application Guidelines on XJTLU Entry Scholarships for International Students 2014 carefully.
2) The Entry Scholarship can be continued if the recipient’s average score over all courses of the previous academic year rank within the top 25% amongst all students on the same academic programme during his/her year of study at XJTLU. 3) The Entry Scholarship and the Jasmine Scholarship can not be awarded simultaneously.


2. Progression Scholarship

Progression scholarships are awarded annually on the basis of students' overall average marks in the previous academic session.

1st Class: RMB10,000
2nd Class: RMB5,000
